Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi: Fate & Circumstances are the twin scales of destiny!

Life for twenty-one year old Ayesha, takes a different dimension when in a fatal car accident, she loses the only family she had; her elder sister and her brother-in-law. And now what she only has is Nihal, the six year old son of her sister. Brought together with circumstances both of them embark to their journey and destiny of life.

At the tender age she was and the very tender age he was, the duo make up for each other at times of happiness and moments of grief. She somehow manages his school and their life doing odd jobs in the city of dreams, Mumbai. Keeping her dreams and desires of life to a stand still, she now only focuses on the responsibility and the only family she has, Nihal. The story begins with her joining as a maid, at a five star hotel in the house keeping department.

With the job she also gets the accommodation in the staff quarters and she sneakily accommodates her nephew too. Pammi her room mate who initially disapproves of Nihal living with them as it is against the rule of the Hotel, eventually becomes her closest support.

Ayesha bumps into Veer, the owner of the Hotel. Veer is a silent but a powerful business man. Apart from expanding his Hotel business, Veer is desperately in search of his elder brother Jai and his family. Veer and Ayesha's 1st meet was very unlike a perfect one... Ayesha and Veer are at the two ends of a spectrum. And yet, when their eyes meet and the spark flows, no consideration remains important anymore, because the two of them have one thing in common - Passion.

Ayesha's life was somehow being managed with the work at the hotel and the life after. On parallel basis there is growing comfort level between her young nephew and Veer which also brings a twist to Ayesha's bubbly yet juggled world. The situation brings Ayesha and Veer together.

And as the two lose themselves to the haze of sweet romance, they are unaware of the wall that fate has built between them. For in time, Ayesha realizes that running away from truth, she has walked right into the lion's den because, Veer is the scion of the family which is responsible for the death of her only relatives - her elder sister and brother in law.

Subsequently, Veer realizes that the girl he is in love with is none other than the sister of the very woman he blames to have snatched his beloved brother away and corrupted the peace of his family and Nihal is the only piece of his brother that is left. But, the two, have no idea, how the invisible hand of fate is carving their destiny, and the curiosity remains; whether it takes them towards each other or against each other with a love which ensure that they cannot avoid each other.

After capturing the viewers’ attention with the extraordinary telly-drama Sapana Baabul Ka…Bidaai, the No 1 Hindi General Entertainment Channel in India, STAR Plus extends its fiction line-up on the prime-time with Dabur Vatika Hair Oil’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a story of love finding its way after an arranged marriage and how two people bond and blossom together after entering into sacred ties of matrimony. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai - the show presented by STAR Plus premiers on January 12 at 9.30 pm, will act as a balm to present day breakdowns in relationships.

The story revolves around Akshara a shy, demure, obedient daughter who has been brought up like a princess in a traditional Marwari family. She has a very protective upbringing and has only experienced relationships that emanate love and protection. She is yet to discover a life beyond her over-protective mother or her disciplinarian father or her witty and loving grandmother.
Soon comes the desired moment of marriage for Akshara and she experiences emotions beyond those that she is familiar with. Marriage catapults her into a plethora of new relationships, new emotions and a whole new environment. But most importantly, she discovers a unique relationship called LOVE, which eventually helps her stride through all trials and tribulations. Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil is the new serial on Star Plus by Ekta Kapoor. This serial has replaced the never lasting love story of Anurag-Prerna (or Bajaj- prerna)- Kasauti Zindagi Ki ( thank God because of the decrease in the TRP of the show finally this love story come to an end).Kis Desh….has started from 3rd march this year. Like all her serials Ekta has put all masala in it. It is basically a story of two friends- one is in Punjab and the other one has migrated to Canada for the better development of his career. The two friends have fixed the marriage of their children- Prem and Heer since their childhood. But due to some misunderstanding the friend in India- Balraaj Maan thinks that his friend- Lalit Juneja has forgotten his promise and so Balraaj fixes his daughter- Heer’s marriage to someone else.

Punjabi Background is Ekta’s favorite. In this serial she has tried to show the typical Punjab which her actors have failed to portray properly. Like all other Ekta’s serial in Hero’s family a large number of members are there from dadi to step brothers, sister to cousins. So there is full scope of extending the serial. And also there is nakhre wali chachi to taunt on the bechari heroine and her parents. The other negative characters in the hero’s family will be shown when Heer will go to her sasural.
On the other side Lalit and his wife are planning to come to India with their son- Prem to bring their daughter-in-law home. So a lot of things are to be happened in the up coming episodes.The female lead is done by a 19 yr fashion designer from Pune- Aditi Gupta(or Additi Gupta as Ekta has added an additional “d” to her name on the suggestion of some numerologist). Harshad Chopra or Ali of Left Right Left is playing Prem. Another important character in the serial is of preet- Prem's step brother who is very fond of Prem. Their jodi is like Ram- Laxman jodi. And there are full chances that in the up coming episodes preet will be shown opposite to Heer as it is Ekta Kapoor's serial.

Her defiance against the British is exemplary even today. The fervour that she aroused gave birth to various leaders and revolutionaries who finally freed our nation from the British. Through this venture, Zee TV attempts to bring forth the various facets of this remarkable woman which are yet unknown to people. The Rani is shown as a mother, as a wife, as a daughter, as a warrior and essays all the roles with equal aplomb. The show is a tribute to her bravery, gallantry and patriotism.
Born as Manikarnika, Lakshmi Bai, also known as ‘Manu’ was the daughter of a Maharashtrian Brahmin Moropant Tambey from Varanasi. While the other girls of her age chose to do household chores, she played and defeated the local boys in muddy matches of kabaddi. She married Gangadhar Rao, who was the Raja of Jhansi, at a very tender age. It was after her husband’s untimely demise, while she was still an adolescent that the agile Rani became a true warrior and an epitome of women’s power in the country. In this historical tale, Zee TV attempts to portray how an ordinary woman became an extraordinary exponent of Indian freedom movement.

BHASKAR BHARTI ON SONY TV AT 9 P.M I don't think that this is an original idea (about a man turning into a woman due to divine intervention), but this is still a new concept for Indian TV, and so far is working out (although at some time, the serial creators will want to stretch the serial, and that is when the story will start becoming painful). Bhaskar Bharti started on Sony TV on May 25, 2009, and is created by the long running creative group of Deeya Singh and Tony Singh.Bhaskar is with a media company, and is a hotshot and well acclaimed professional. He is a serial womanizer, who ditches girl-friends all over the place. It is one of these women who cry out that Bhaskar should become a girl so that he realizes what a woman has to face, and it is through divine intervention that Bhaskar converts into a girl, called Bharti.

In the beginning, Bhaskar is shocked, but has slowly started to come to terms with the concept that this is something real, but he is constantly trying to figure out how to become a man back. He is still in his office, but under the name of Bharti now, and starts to see how discrimination against woman happens, and one is sure, that as the serial progresses, they will start to show Bhaskar in his guise of Bharti, learning more and more about the problems faced by woman.

MEERA T.V SERIAL AT 8 P.M ON NDTV IMAGINE



NDTV Imagine presents TV serial Meera on the life of Meerabai with actors Aashika Bhatia, Gauri Harmit Kaur, Kunal Bakshi, Paras Arora, Twara Desai. The show will be aired from July 27, 2009 at 8 pm on NDTV Imagine.
NDTV Imagine brings to life one of the country’s most loved classics Meera- the story of the legendary princess Meerabai, who renounced the luxuries of royal life and became the greatest devotee of Lord Krishna.
The producers are leaving no stone unturned to make this show a success. Utmost care has been taken while designing the costumes for the artistes on the show. Designed by Sheela Sagar, a wide variety of fabrics have been used, right from silks to brocades to cotton. Some of the fabrics used for Meera’s lehengas have been brought directly from Jaipur and Rajasthan. The existing richness of the fabric has been adorned with a variety of embroidered zardosi borders and kundan work.
The bright colors used for Meera as a child, symbolize the kind of person she was; vibrant, outspoken and a happy princess madly in love with her Krishna.
Bright colors are also used keeping in mind the Rajput preference, as they always loved to dress up in the best of clothes and jewellery. Even clothes for Meera’s parents, uncles, aunts and cousins have been designed keeping in mind the character of every person. The fabrics used are the same for everyone to add exclusive richness to the show.
Says Meenakshi Sagar, Sagar Pictures “A lot of research and effort has gone into the designing of the costumes in Meera. Right from the colors, to the fabric to the embroidery, care has been taken to keep the authenticity of that era alive. The jewellery was difficult to design as we did not want to repeat anything done before, nor did we want to go overboard with the look of the characters. So almost all the pieces are exclusive and have been hand-made”.
With regards to the jewellery of Princess Meera, a lot of attention to detail has been given keeping the era in mind. In the show, the young princess will wear simple designs in kundan, gold and semi precious stones that go well with her age and attitude. Even the men of the family will wear jewellery keeping in mind their true Rajput spirit with pearls being the highlight of them all.
The characters in Meera will be essayed by a new generation of actors– Aashika Bhatia all of 9 years will be seen playing the lead of young Meera, the key characters of Veer Kunwari (Meera’s mother) will be played by Gauri Harmit Kaur and Ratan Singh (Meera’s dad) will be played by Kunal Bakshi respectively. Paras Arora will be seen playing Meera’s cousin brother while Twara Desai will be seen playing Meera’s friend Lalita.
